A mutation from the sand dragon family, it is much larger than its kind, as well as much more aggressive. The barbed tendrils are not only for snatching prey once they are stunned by its sense-numbing roar, they can also be used to climb up sheer obstacles. Unlike its lesser version, a King’s wings can be used to fly short distances before it dives back into the sand, where it uses them to swim through sand at great speeds. A Desert King Sand Dragon occurs naturally one every 10,000 square kilometres of desert where one is not present, has recently died, or is not maintaining balance within the ecosystem.
