Bio: Willem knew full well growing up what he was, just not what it was called. Raised in mediocrity, he was able to glean much more about life than he would have from the coddled, sheltered upbringing handlers of his kind would have used to steer his impressions. Instead, he embarked on his own late in his teen years and learned about himself exactly as he felt he should: on his own. Willem’s status as the Earthborn allows him unfettered access to the secrets of This Earth, and without his mind being groomed by the powers that be, he came to his own conclusions. It was during these travels that he found the group that still surrounds him to this day, a surrogate family not just for him, but for all of them.

Powers: Willem does not use magic unless siphoned from someone else to exploit their strain. Instead, he shapes his immediate reality by commanding the actual elements instead of conjuring an imitation of them. Since he is like a God but not actually one, he gains power through faith, although his manner of worship involves revelry, function, and violence. His presence weighs heavily, while his mood can drain the meek of all will. As a demi-God, he will always rise from the dead unless he chooses not to or cannot find a host to overcome, and it looks as though neither is going to happen anytime soon.

Extra Lore: Willem thrives on mocking authority and the higher, the better. During his travels, he’s stared down government officials, kings, the sprite emperor, Nephilim oligarchs, and not one of them has ever fazed him, not even the first. This is because he has stood before the Gods in their pantheon, and while he surely felt the weight of their collective presence, he also felt their fear.

Quirk: Willem is hopelessly addicted to video games and spends much of his lounge time immersed in virtual worlds. Gaming was his only escape from the boring normalcy of his upbringing and saved his sanity, as well as countless lives, by keeping him from his own devices, especially before he knew any better. Even though his duties and role keep him mostly busy, there is always couch time.
